Meet us on Bald Mountain to kick off the weekend’s festivities! Note that a gondola ride will be taking you to the Roundhouse, the gondola will open at 5:45. Be ready for stunning high altitude views. Feel free to throw on your finest western hat and cowboy boots.

The Wedding

Join us at The Trail Creek Pavilion for our ceremony with back drop of Bald Mountain followed by cocktails, dinner, and dancing the night away! Shuttles will be provided to and from Trail Creek.
Attire: Garden Party Formal and please wear grass friendly shoes.

Our Story
How we met…
Erin and Bear’s story began in Annapolis during the summer Bear graduated from the Naval Academy and Erin was preparing for her senior year at the University of Miami. Thanks to Erin’s sister, Laura, and her now-husband, Justin, the two were introduced—and the spark was instant.
For the next year, Erin and Bear managed the challenges of long-distance dating by making frequent weekend trips to visit each other, all while juggling Marine Corps training and school.
Eventually, Erin made the leap and moved to Southern California to be with Bear, who was stationed there with the Marines. They settled into the laid-back surf town of San Clemente, where they spent five incredible years with their dog, Zane.
In 2023, they swapped coastal living for city life, making San Francisco their new home. It didn’t take long for the city to feel like the perfect fit, and during their first year there—and after seven years together—Bear proposed. Erin didn’t hesitate to say yes.
Now, they’re beyond excited to celebrate their story and share this next chapter with all of you!

Things To Do In Sun Valley

Hikes
Adams Gulch: 6.1 mile loop with a variety of terrain. Beautiful wildflowers!
White Clouds: 4 mile loop right across from the Sun Valley Lodge.
Scenic Overlook Bald Mountain Trail: 3.5 mile out-and-back trail. Amazing views of town.
Galena Lodge: Galena is a 30-minute drive from Sun Valley with many trail options. Stop in the lodge before your hike and ask if you can take Bandit or another dog out on your hike. Restaurant is great for lunch and post-hike drink!

Activities
Fly Fishing: We love going out on the river with guides from Sun Valley Outfitters.
Spa at Zenergy: Get steam, sauna, gym, and pool access with a spa treatment.
Bike Riding to River Run or Sun Valley Lodge. Often there are horses grazing on these paths.
Golf at the Sun Valley Resort or at one of the many other options in the Valley.
Redfish Lake in Stanley, Idaho is a hour drive from Sun Valley. If you have the time, it’s a beautiful day trip to see the Sawtooth Mountains. Tons of hiking trails for all levels. Boat rental available as well!

Warfield Distillery & Brewery: Incredible views on rooftop! Great place to grab a drink or lunch.

Rickshaw: Yummy Southeast Asian food. Walk-ins only.
Pioneer Saloon: An iconic Ketchum staple that serves Idaho potatoes, steak, and fish in a Western-themed setting. The Pio is the proud owner of one of Ernest Hemingway’s guns. We love the Jim Spud. Walk-ins only.

Sun Valley Lodge - Duchin Lounge: Grab a drink in the Lodge’s lobby. The Lodge is a must-see if you aren’t staying there.
Limelight Bar: Enjoy live music and great craft cocktails while waiting for shuttles!

The Cellar Pub: Fun bar in downtown Ketchm.
Casino Bar: Not an actual casino. Enjoy a cold Rainier and go shoot some pool at the local dive bar!

Getting to Sun Valley is not always easy, but it’s one of the reasons it has stayed authentic and quiet for all these years! The easiest option is flying into Friedman Airport (SUN) but flying into Boise (BOI) and renting a car works also! Just like any other destination ski town, we highly recommend booking early.

While we absolutely adore your little ones, we are hosting an adults only reception. We can provide a local babysitter list upon request!

Absolutely! We will ask for diteray allergies in the formal invitation.

Due to limited capacity, we are only able to accommodate those formally invited. If you received a plus one it will be addressed on the envelope of your invitation. Please message Bear or Erin if you have any questions here!

Mountain weather is unpredictable. Fingers crossed for sunny summer weather with daytime high temps in the 80s. Expect colder weather at night with temperatures in the 50s. The reception will be under a tent so regardless of the weather we will be able to enjoy!

We will provide round-trip transportation between the Limelight Hotel in downtown Ketchum and both events: the Welcome Party (Friday) and the Wedding Ceremony & Reception (Saturday).
